Microwave Oven Wattage Conversion Time

Most recipes are written for 700-watt microwave ovens. If using a lower-wattage oven, adjust cooking times as follows:
For a 650-watt oven, add 10 seconds (or less) for each minute stated in the recipe.
For a 600-watt oven, add 20 seconds for each minute stated in the recipe.
For a 500-watt oven, add 40 seconds for each minute stated in the recipe. |
